Western Australia

Recently I spent ten days in Western Australia.  I visited my youngest son and his family.

Western Australia is very interesting.  Here are some shots.

This is part of the coastline that runs from Cape Nauraliste to Cape Leuwin.  It was a windy day.

The coastal hills are covered in low scrub.  The rock is a form of sandstone.  There are lime outcrops here too.

We are looking towards Cape Naturaliste.  It is perhaps ten Kilometres further up the coast.

This rock is a well known landmark of this part of the coast.

There is much more in the way of forest and scrub than much of New Zealand. It is a very attractive part of the world.  Just no real hills.

Cheers, Chris the Pipemaker
