Weta

The weta is one of the largest cricket type insects in the world.  It is found in caves and dark damp forests in New Zealand.  I made one for my grandson Ziggy who lives in WA [Western Australia].

The newspaper gives some indication of size.  The object on the foreground is a baby rattle for 8 month old Solie, my granddaughter.

Cheers Chris the Pipemaker.
