Some more flowers

During our visit to the forest to collect a post of Jarra, I took some more fotos of flowers.

These are not flowers, they are galahs.  They are colorful  too.

These yellow flowers have small leaves like those on Thyme.  Like Thyme the plant is a small shrub.

This plant has long thin branches with thin fleshy leaves.  It has a mass of white open flowers along the branches.

The leaves are little different but the flowers have yellow wings to tubular red centres.

The same plant from another angle.

This plant has violet flowers in a cup shape.  Again the leaves are the same as the previous plants.  It seems to prefer the shade.

This plant is a juvenile gum tree.  The leaves are different, being long, parallel veined and leathery.  The flower has long narrow petals with quite prominent pistils. [look that up in the dictionary].

This shrub has a mass of nice yellow flowers.  These flowers have no petals.  The flowers have been flowering for some time for there are some flowers that have finished blooming as well.

Sorry, they do have petals...  just narrow ones.

More tomorrow.

Cheers Chris the Pipemaker.
